2000 Women's State Select Team Program
CSAN State Women's Select Team Coach:  Mr. Rick Caldwell
                                            Assistant Coach:  Ms. Jennifer Thomas

January 25, 2000

This year CSAN will once again enter a women’s state select team in the Region IV Select Team Tournament in Salt Lake City (June 15-18, 2000). This program is one of the bottom rungs of the national program that leads to selection of players for the United States Olympic Soccer Team and the Women's National Amateur Soccer Team. Our local player selection process starts in March.

Last year’s CSAN select team did very well.  Five players were chosen for the Region IV Women’s Select Team. With your help, we look forward to a similarly successful program this year.  The Women's State Coach is Rick Caldwell and the Assistant Coach is Jenny "JT" Thomas.  The administrator for the CSAN Women's State Select Team is Kathleen Casanave.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Any female player 19 years old or older with a currently valid player pass from CSAN is eligible to try out for the Women’s State Select Team.
  2. No player may try out for a State Select Team without first applying for or having a current registration as an amateur player with CSAN.
  3. Players who don’t have a current registration with CSAN are eligible to try out for the State Select Team provided they pay $20 for such registration at the time of their first try out. These players must also provide three ID photos and complete the amateur player registration forms.
  4. Professional players are ineligible.
  5. Under-19 players may try out if they obtain permission from CYSA.
  6. Under-18 players may try out if they obtain parental permission.
