1. Applicants shall submit to the Association, via the CSAN Executive Secretary, a written application for membership, accompanied by the affiliation fee and annual dues for one (1) year.
2. The CSAN Executive Secretary shall report the application for membership to the CSAN Executive Board at its next regularly scheduled meeting. The Executive Board shall act on the application within five (5) weeks, and, if the application is denied, shall return the application along with the membership initiation fee and annual dues that were submitted with it.
3. All new leagues must also be approved by the CSAN Board of Directors.
The application for league membership must include
the following information:
(a) The name, address and zip code of the league;
(b) The names, addresses, zip codes and telephone numbers of all league
officers;
(c) The names of member teams;
(d) The colors of the league, if any;
(e) A description of the league’s emblem, if any;
(f) A list of other athletic affiliations, if any.
A new league must have a minimum of six (6) individual teams. Each team must have a minimum of eleven (11) players. Not more than three (3) players from any existing affiliated team may go to a team in the new league without written permission of the existing affiliated team.
There are two types of league membership in CSAN: competitive and recreational. The fees for recreational leagues and recreational teams are slightly lower than the fees for competitive leagues and teams. However, recreational teams may not participate in State Cup or National Cup play. Large recreational leagues also have fewer votes on the CSAN Board of Directors than large competitive leagues.
Upon acceptance by CSAN, new leagues must serve a two-year probation period. Leagues wishing to do the entire player registration process themselves must have finished their league probation period and post a $1,000.00 bond for first year in which they do their own registration.
Initiation Fee for Competitive Leagues
The initiation fee for new leagues is $200.00 and newly affiliated teams must pay an initial administrative fee of $25.00. These fees are in addition to any fees required by the league.
Initiation Fee for Recreational Leagues
The initiation fee for new leagues is $100.00 and newly affiliated teams must pay an initial administrative fee of $10.00. These fees are in addition to any fees required by the league.
